His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water” ; so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”
John 2:5-10
Here the mother represents the Church,
The servants represent The Pastor,
The stone water jars represent us,
The water represents The Word,
The master of the banquet represents God the father,
The bridegroom
represents Jesus.
As Mary ordered the servants to fill the jars with water,
So the 'Church' uses the 'Pastor' to fill 'Us' with 'The Word' daily, to change us from 'Water' to 'Wine', from 'Sinners' to 'Spotless Bride'.
If we are not reading & consuming the Word regularly we are bound to remain stagnant, drowning in sin forever. So let the word, the double edged sword pierce you, cleanse & purge you
(For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

till God sees you through & can say
(‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your masterʼs happiness!’
